In-form Nunez a first choice forward
Darwin Nunez (£8.8million) will be looking to score for a third successive game when Liverpool visit Nottingham Forest in the 13th matchday.
In the past three Gameweeks, the Liverpool striker has also registered 12 team-leading shots, nine shots inside the box and five shots on target.
Our panel of Fantasy Premier League experts have their say on why Nunez could be the player to beat Manchester City’s prolific Erling Haaland (£12.1m) this week.
What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Without any prejudice from Liverpool (honest) I will go for Darwin Nunez (£8.8m). He’s a type of striker who shoots on sight, which is something we love about the FPL, and Nottingham Forest’s underlying stats suggest they’ll give up plenty of chances when Liverpool arrive at the City Ground.
Utkarsh Dalmie (@zophar666)
Forest were lucky not to concede a handful of goals at Brighton & Hove Albion in Gameweek 12. I expect Liverpool to put them to the sword with Nunez and Mohammad Salah (£12.8m) both go big.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)
It’s hard to look past Manchester City at home, even when their opponents are good defensively. Kevin De Bruyne (£12.3m) has just one goal so far this season but I think he will add to that with another assist.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Having not played a match midweek, I suspect that Erling Haaland (£12.1million) will be back in scoring ways in Gameweek 13 and will be the top points scorer this week.
Bukayo Saka (£7.9m) will also be up there. He has returned in six of his last seven league matches. With 63 points, he is Arsenal’s most successful FPL asset. It is however marked yellow in-game so this is something FPL managers need to watch out for.
Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee)
Haaland is going to score big in a Manchester City team that scores for free. I also think Nunez will be a close second against a struggling Forest side.
Holly Shand (@HollyShand)
Mohammad Salah has the ability to be top scorer this week against Forest. That’s if Jurgen Klopp plays him as a central striker.
Haaland and Man City will be well rested ahead of their game against Brighton in Gameweek 13. I can see a big comeback for him this week.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
With a midweek rest, many will look to the Man City attack for goals galore against Brighton. However, I support Nunez go big against a Forest team who concede a lot of chances.
