On a sunny Easter Sunday morning, Governor Andrew Cuomo visited the Pathways Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Niskayuna, near Schenectady, to express his gratitude to staff for loaning ventilators to hospitals in the upstate.

“When the going is tough, people are at their best,” Cuomo said.

He said he wanted to personally thank the leaders and staff of the retirement home for the “incredibly beautiful gesture”.

“We are all one family,” he said, adding that “their gesture was so beautiful and so kind and… everything we aspire to be”.

After his brief announcement, the governor looked out the windows of the retirement home and repeatedly said thank you to those inside.
