A member of the board of directors of the American Community Bank received the Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana’s highest honor.
Dana Dumezich was honored by Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb for her distinguished service in Hoosier State. Indiana Governors personally select Sagamore Wabash recipients, including astronauts, ambassadors, artists, academics, athletes, comedians, race car drivers, musicians, politicians, presidents and many others.
“I am very honored to have received this award and recognition. It is a privilege to have served the state and my community in this way and it is gratifying to know that it is appreciated,” said Dumezich.
Dumezich was honored for her years of service with the Lake County Elections Board and the Lake County Voter Registration Office, which oversees elections and registers people to vote.
“Dana does a great job for our bank as a member of the board of directors, but her significant contribution to the local community in running the democratic process is significant and truly deserves this recognition,” said the president of the American Community Bank, Mike Mellon.
